Hey Jim, I didn't think about that one. I'll talk to Rosie & Linda, they know those people across the rode & could get special rates. It'll be great to not dirty up our cloths during the weekend. I'll bet DON would even show up.
Dale - If Bungee and G-String has bought the old campground when we tried to get them to, we would have been set for life. I guess there is always the other campground across the road where shirt, shoes, ties and everything else is optional. We could even get a great sun tan.
Hey Lady, We also thought about Shoals Bend. Just thought we would bring all the options we can to the meeting & let everyone vote on it. Jack & Denise has always taken great care of us & Shoals Bend does have all anyone could ask for. Appreciate you checkin it out for us lady. We do need to make a decision as soon as possible or we may not find a place for that weekend. Thanks
I took the liberty of talking to good members and friends, Jack and Denise Worthy of Shoals Bend RV Park (where we hold TRIKE WEEK) about helping with the loss of Chapel Grove. They said they would love to have the event at their campground and will get back to me tomorrow with special rates. They will also have a live band that weekend and a fish fry (they supply the fish) and everyone brings a dish to share. The campground is lovely, all ammenities are close by and it is close for a lot of the membership. I will make a post with prices when I hear from them tomorrow. To me, it's a no-brainer.
