I'm pretty sure after talking with Fern and Charlie that he would want us to celebrate the fact that he is now with the Lord. He's graduated so to speak. Past the test of being here on earth. On the other hand, even though Charlies family knows this, not having him around anymore will be tough, I know it will be tough for OMT also, especially at times when the guys get together to sing. He will be missed. So Fern and family know that you are in our prayers for comfort. Charlie no longer needs prayers for he is with God. Fern know that you are still part of OMT and we hope you will continue to do things with us. I too think that Charlie would want us to show up on the trikes. So as soon as things are figured out as to the where and when, Larry and I will be there, on trike.
I couldn't have said it any better. Fern please know that you and your family will be in our prayers and in our thoughts. We just have to remember that God knows what he is doing. Take care and know that you have a family in OMT. Gary & Judy
TODAY IS A SAD DAY FOR OUR OMT CHAPTER. CHARLIE HAS GONE TO BE WITH GOD. FERN SAID HE WENT PEACEFULLY THIS MORNING. WE'LL ALL MISS HIM DEARLY. HE BROUGHT SO MUCH TO OUR CHAPTER - THE REALIZATION THAT AT ANY AGE YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH SO MUCH. HE GAVE US ALL INSPIRATION TO LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST. FERN IS WAITING FOR THE KIDS TO ARRIVE TO MAKE THE ARRANGEMENTS. SHE THOUGHT MAYBE SUNDAY NIGHT WOULD BE VISITING HOURS AND THE SERVICE MONDAY. I THINK CHARLIE WOULD BE APPRECIATIVE IF WE ALL RODE TO HIS SERVICE ON OUR TRIKES. THE SERVICE PROBABLY WILL BE IN CABOOL. IF I FIND OUT ANY MORE INFORMATION I'LL(OR IF ANYONE ELSE DOES) POST IT. "GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN, CHARLIE. YOUR WORK HERE ON EARTH IS DONE". WE LOVE YOU! PLEASE SAY A PRAYER FOR FERN AND THE FAMILY AS THEY GO THROUGH THIS DIFFICULT TIME.
