Got the %*#@^% coil spring back on yesterday without any mishaps. Course I remembered to use the spring compresser this time. Got to admit it was a little unnerving cause there were times when I would look down and see the spring aimed straight at my face again. I am a slow learner but I can be taught. Learning can sometimes be a painful experience. Two X-wives taught me that much. You're right Don, young guys need to slow down, enjoy the chase, and not be too quick to end it. How come we had to get so old before we got so wise.

Jim hope you are feeling better today. Anthony feels good on his pain meds. He does miss some food though. He got so hungry for something other then liquids he made mac & cheese and slithered it down his throat. I guess you and Anthony have to beware of Thursday the 12th. [Smile]

My face is always causing pain but it is usually to the people who have to look at it. From this side, it still looks good. Just have to stay away from the mirrors for a while. The doctor told me that I need lots of naps. Good advise. I was following that long ago.

Yesterday was a bad day for mechanicing. Anthony was changing the pitman arm for the steering on his truck when the 10 ton puller slipped and busted him in the teeth. It knocked one of his front teeth which was hanging by a nerve and fractured another. So its back to a liquid diet for him for a week.

Larry says, are you sure that Lady didn't just bust you between the eyes with a hammer??

Hope everyone mends ok.

I was working on one of the trikes in the shop yesterday and made the mistake of removing the retaining nut from the coil spring on the rear struts without securing the spring with a spring compressor. Not a smart move. The spring let go and if I hadn't had my face in the way, it might have done some serious damage to the wall of the shop. Luckily, I did have my face in the way and particularly my nose. The spring careened off my nose and wound up harmlessly on the floor. A CAT scan revealed that although my nose was broken it would recover however it may now be located on the back of my head. That is probably a good thing because with all the swelling between my eyes I am sure there isn't room for it in its original position anyway. Just think, now I can be the first one to smell my own bodily emissions although I do kind of wonder how I am going to hold my sunglasses up. Never fear, I am on the mend and will be around to bug everyone for a long time to come.
