Thanks girls. I got Larry to go to the kitchen. Challenged him to come up with a turkey chili. He did come up with something he calls turkey suprise. It doesn't taste quite like chili but it tastes great to us. Only one thing that needs to be tweeked and that was he had just a little to much basil in it. Wasn't bad that way, we just felt it would be a little better with less. It has kidney beans, tomatos, ground turkey, picante sauce, garlic, onion, lawrys, basil and salt in it. It's fairly low calorie, which is what we need. Since there isn't anything else to do what with the weather and all , I want to challenge those of you who aren't working to come up with a good winter recipe [low calorie]. Don't cheat, and no fru fru foods. [fru fru foods are foods that are made with ingredients that the average person has never heard of, and that you have to mail off to even purchase around here.]

Hndg - Roadkill is really in short supply right now. I think the roads are so bad even the critters are staying off of them. Santa brought me a couple of those new "Game Cameras" for Christmas and I have been keeping my eye out for roadkill to hang in front of them out in the woods. Not a thing anywhere between here and town. Lady's old cat is even laying low until I find something. Where are all those d-mn stray chickens that are always trying to cross the road in front of you. Good luck with your hunting. Looks like it is going to be a long, hungry, winter.

Couldn't pass this up!!!! Turkeys making Turkey chili. Isn't that kind of like the commercial on TV where the kid is feeding the pot-belly pig bacon (smile). You gals are alright, I don't care what anyone says. Winter would be really boring without you around to spice it up a little. Be sure to save a little of that chili for ol' Hndg's bowl. Probably better than the roadkill he has been getting.

Chris, I just make it the same way I make regular chili except I use ground turkey instead of hamburger. It's good.
