GEE, IT'S GONNA BE HERE BEFORE WE KNOW IT AND ARMIDILLO WOULD BE FINE, BUT I'M NOT SURE HDG WILL GIVE IN TO LETTIN ANY OF HIS ROAD KILL GO FOR A BAT FEED MAYBE IF YA MAKE AN EXTRA BATCH FOR HIM, HE'D GIVE SOME UP HOW ABOUT IT HDG?????????????????
Dale - I just checked the BTW web site and there are only 73 days left til TRIKE WEEK. Not nearly enough time to tenderize one of the ol' bats. I'm guessin' that would take the biggest part of the summer. With the price of propane, it would probably be more expense than it was worth anyway. Maybe Hndg can help us out with some good roadkill. Nice ol' flatttened Armidillo or, since turtle migrating season is almost here, maybe a big ol snappin' turtle.
AMEN ON THEM USIN A BATH I'M THINKIN THOSE OLE BATS JUST DON'T TAKE A LIKIN TO SOAP & WATER COULD BE THE REASON FOR SOME OF THE SHOE LEATHER THING THEY'VE GOT OVER THE YEARS
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YA DECIDE TO USE SOME A THAT OLE BAT MEAT IN THE STEW BEFORE I SCOUP UP A BOWL
Dale - I found it kind of interesting that the appetizers looked like bat food. Wonder if it wouldn't be easier to feed them to the bats first and not have to mess with cleaning two pots. You are right about our ol' bats being tough. Be kinda like eating show leather. Course you could soak them in a brine first. Some of them could use the bath anyway.
JIM, THAT DON'T SOUND LIKE TO BAT A FOOD OUR OLE BATS ARE SURELY OF THE FLYING FOX BREED THE ONLY PROBLEM WE HAVE IS THAT ABOUT 90% OF OUR BATS ARE VERY OLD AND I'M THINKIN WOULD BE TOUGH OLE BATS MAYBE A LOT A MEAT TENDERIZER AND SMOKE EM OR JUST CONTINUE TO MAKE EM INTO BERGER WITH ORKIN AL'S BAT PULVERIZER THANKS FOR THE VERY, VERY INTERESTING & EDUCATING INFO
