Just gotta find a way to retire from that "Honey-Do" list now. When Lady gets a little free time on her hands, my Honey Do list seems to start growing. Guess she has more time to figure out ways to keep me busy and out of trouble.

WHAT A SURPRISE, BUT THERE COMES A TIME IN OUR LIVES WHEN WE DO WHAT OUR HEARTS TELL US TO DO AND I'M SURE JIM AND LADY HAVE PUT MUCH, MUCH THOUGHT AND SLEEPLESS NIGHTS INTO THIS DECISION. BARB AND I WISH JIM AND LADY A HAPPY AND SUCCESFULL RETIREMENT "YOU DESERVE IT". SOUNDS LIKE BTW IS IN GOOD HANDS AND WE'LL CONTINUE TO ENJOY OUR FREINDSHIP WITH JIM AND LADY AND THE BTW FAMILY. It is not without difficulty and many mixed emotions that Lady and I have made the decision to try retirement again. As you know, I founded BTW in 1983 with Lady joining me in 1984. We retired from our position in 2000 and took the reins back over in 2003. With this being our 30th TRIKE WEEK, we felt it was the right time to bow out gracefully and turn our “baby”, whom has become a part of who we are, over to new and enthusiastic hands. The Board of Directors have talked extensively about this and have decided, for now, to have a three-person committee of Board members taking over the operation of BTW. You can be assured, they have BTW’s best interest in their hearts and, although it will be different, the core operational procedure and running of BTW will remain the same. We have every confidence that these knowledgeable members will take our organization to a new level and move it into the future as smoothly as possible. We want to thank you all for your continued support of our family of trikers and hope you will stay with it and watch it continue to flourish. We will stay afloat through these tough economic times and come out better than ever in the future. Too many hours, tears, dollars and mostly love, have gone into this unusual family and we will be in the background to help with any problems that may arise during the transition to a new set of Executive Directors. We will be at TRIKE WEEK with bells on and have a wonderful week planned for all of you with new rides, entertainment and events. We are hopeful hugs will be all around and fond memories will be part of your good-byes. Donna graduates and will be moving back to Washington after TW and we thank her for her hard work and expert handling of most of the office operation. We will be putting out the July TRIKER and turning over our books and office and training during that time. Our last official day will be July 31st. There aren’t words right now to express our pride in what BTW has become and also our sadness to turn it over to someone else, but everything has a start, a middle and an ending, and for BTW it is just the beginning of a new chapter starting with a bright and promising future.
