DUE TO THE PENDING RETIREMENT OF OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS Your BOARD OF DIRECTORS would like to take this opportunity to thank Jim & Lady for the 30 long years of dedication and loyalty to all the members of BTW. Although we all knew this day had to come, none of us wanted to face it. But it is here and your Board has a responsibility to face it and make sure that BTW not only continues, but also thrives and grows as there are an abundance of new trikers out there looking to belong somewhere and that needs to be The Brothers of the Third Wheel. Since being notified by Jim and Lady of their pending retirement, the Board has been working diligently evaluating all their options and working together to come up with a plan for their replacement. That plan has been developed, approved and implemented and is well underway as you read this. With the help and cooperation already committed by Jim and Lady to make this a smooth transition, we are confident of the future of BTW and believe you will be too, as the plans take shape. 1. BTW will be operated by an Executive Team consisting of 2 Directors and a Chairman. 2. The Chairman will be responsible for hiring a FULL TIME EMPLOYEE to be available during business hours at a location with the current PHONE NUMBER and current EMAIL contact points. 3. This employee will have continuous contact with the Executive Team. These Directors will be responsible for the day to day activities of BTW. This plan was developed and put into place to ensure that the BTW membership will always have continuous representation both now and in the future.
THE CHAIN OF INFORMATION WILL BE AS FOLLOWS: EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE answers to the (BOARD MEMBERS) REGIONAL DIRECTORS at pre-determined intervals, they in turn answer to the STATE DIRECTORS as required, who in turn answer to the CHAPTER DIRECTORS as required, who in turn answer to YOU, THE MEMBERSHIP
