Very few places like this area left. Just thankful we live where we live in these times. To think it's only a matter of time here as we know it. I guess that's why our triker family is so important. Enjoy while we can.
Ava Drug has been in the same family for years. It is not open on Sunday but a call to David Norman will get the doors open to fill your prescriptions. You probably won't get that when Walgreen takes over. One of the original investors, Dr. Gentry, is the father of the gal who is our doctor today. Ah, the joys of small town living.
Jim, That would be a shame. The soda fountain is a draw card & generates a lotta business. The food is great. Probably needs to be a weekly ride for a while.
Dale - We need to take advantage of the $.05 ice cream while we can. Walgreens has bought the drug store out and I am sure they aren't going to be offering any deals on ice cream. As a matter of fact, from what I hear, the entire soda fountain will be history. Damn shame too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jim, I've had it happen to me. Wait around all day & no show. It depends on how old the guy is. Probably got in bed that night & thought, "oh crap" I forgot about going to Jim's today. You did miss out. I was plannin on buyin ya'll one of those nickle ice cream cones.
Sorry I missed you guys but one of the members from Forsyth was supposed to come up to get some help on his trike. He was a "no show". Hate it when that happens. How much effort does a phone call take. Glad you had a good ride and I'm really sorry to hear about Chris's affliction.
Although we missed Dan & Martha, We had a good ride except for the wind . It was so windy, at one point in the ride Chris opened her mouth and the wind blew her tong right down her throat. Needless to say Larry had a very peacefull ride after that happened.We had seven trikes & rode a round about way to Ava drug for ice cream and told a few lies. A good time was had by all. I'm not sure what Chris would say about it all unless Larry did the heimlich on her & got that tong out of her throat.
