That's the price you have to pay when you don't have the right tool for the job. I lost the drive belt and thought to myself "Hey Self, since you don't have a hoist to put that thing on, why don't you just take the body off so you can get to things". Wrong idea. Maybe if I had of gone to the tool store, I could have bought a hoist or at least bought a shovel so I could dig a pit to stand it. Oh no, I had to be smart and pull the entire body off the mower. Have you ever used the instriction manual that comes with your mower to take it apart? Are the pictures they show you of things, like the routing of the belts, shown from the top or from the bottom of the mower where any normal person would be working? When they tell you things like that the belt runs on the "left" side of the steering column, it does make a difference. I guess I shouldn't complain, at least my flashlight works.
If anyone is interested, the Tool Store in Seymour is having an open house today, Free vittals. Probably to cold to ride up but I am going to take my truck anyway so I can haul home all the stuff I buy.
