All the homeless people in Springfield are a few pounds heavier this morning and the kitchen and serving crew are as well. We had a great time topped off by a great meal, with great companions, at Steak and Ale. Thanks to Sheri for making it all happen and to everyone who volunteered to help. The TV crew was even there and got shots of all the crew displaying their BTW patches. Should make for some great PR. We did GOOD!!!
Fay - I hope the weather straightens out before the Toy Run and they get a great turn-out for it. Would be nice to see a ton of toys collected for the kids. There seems to be a lot of families that need help this year.If Roise and Crittor don't get on Dale's good side, and he has to fill in for Santa this year, they might be coming up a little short in the present department too.
Who is going to Springfield Sunday to help Sheri feed the homeless? It is a very worthwhile thing and really makes you really feel good about yourself. Not quite as good as the free meal we get to have at Steak and Ale afterwards but good none the less. Lady, Micki and I are going and I know Tom and Linda will be there. It is really a lot of fun and for a very worthwhile cause. Not everyone in the world is as lucky as we are and I can't think of a more better way of spending a Sunday afternoon than working with good friends who are making a difference in someone's life.
