I was surprised and sorry to learn recently that one of our supporters/sponsors has died. Computer Doc -- Michael Barnes, died suddenly on May 21, 2005, at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla. He was 51. Mike had suffered from a number of debilitating illnesses for many years, had undergone several surgeries, was obese and had limited ability to get around physically. He had no family; he is survived by his long-time special companion, Darlene Williams and her family. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and past chaplain of the American Legion in Rolla. He had helped us put together a computer for Jerry & Sheri after their house fire, and was working on several computers to donate to OMT for the Wright County Children's Home. We will miss him. (I will email Sue with his address so she can send a card from OMT. Hopefully, it will be received by Darlene; it's the only address the funeral home had.)
