TODAY is day 7..We have had a continuing stream of small donations all day long, until almost closing, this pick up truck showed up with about 15 boxes of all kinds of childrens clothing, toys, work clothes for men , ladies dresses and just about everything you could think of for the kitchen..These were the people that have a long term outdoor swapmeet set up on Hwy 19 south of Alton, just accross the street from Dale Carrey's place..Hi Dale..We will be taking another load over to Westplains in the morning..We have to empty the trailer so we can have room for more donations this weekend..If everyone brings in what they have said, then I'm going to need a bigger trailer, or more gas money to haul it all over there. Now we are taking everything we collect to the OZARK ACTION people..They are just down the street from the Civic Center where we were taking everything. I guess thats enough information on our do-ins..Will be there again tomorrow, and until they tell us to quit..MB out.

Moonbear, what a whopping good job!  I don't know how you did it, but we sure are proud of you and all the folks who helped you fill up those rigs.  I know the people down south will be glad to get all the things you are sending. I'll speak for them and say THANK YOU! God will surely bless you for the things you do from your big heart.  And like Blacksheep said, please take care of yourself, too. We care about you and don't want to see you down sick again. Take care and God bless.

Hang in there Moonbear, I am proud of you and Ivy for what you are doing. I for one think you are doing a great job. However I want you to be sure to watch your own health. Don't over do. I know that when you get on a project you get so involved you may forget to take your meds. So don't FORGET and don't get over tired. Ivy watch out for that old coot, we really care for you all.  Keep up the good work and see me later,          Blacksheep

Its the 6th day now since we started collecting things for the disaster relief..The people of Alton have been great but I know that it could get better..We were flooded with things on the first 2 days, but now it has slowed down a little bit..We have taken 2 loads over to the Civic Center, and they sent out 2 of the 18 wheelers on tuesday.I had to get my trailer hitch welded yesterday, so I could do some more hauling..I had a little too much weight on the tongue, so it cracked in 2 places..I took it to my welder guy and he donated his time,4hrs, after he had already closed his shop for the night.  He opened up and built me a hitch that will never break..We were there until 1am getting it done..When I asked him how much he wanted for the job, he just looked at me and smiled and said not a thing bro.  anything I can do for the cause I will..I decided to buy $100.00 worth of bottled water and baby formula, and put the donation in his name..Wilderness Welding..His name is Joe..The cops have stopped by after 6 days, to check us out..They didn't even know we were there..They do now and they have pledged a few things to the cause..I just can't say enough about how much the poor people of this town have done as much as they could afford to do while all the fat cats with money, not very many of them have given much in the material form..I shouldn't be critical about anybody, maybe they sent money, or whatever..I just don't see many people of means pitching in for the cause..I'll be here until I'm not..Give til it hurts, then you'll feel like it was worth it..Love & respect,  MB. out.
