Good job, Chris, and hugs to you for thinking of doing this. Blacksheep is right...you never really know what may get through to people in his condition. Many times they know what someone is saying but can't respond. I add my "amen" to all the posts above. Keep up the good work.
Chris, I think what you did was fantastic. If we, the members of OMT, can't take care of our own little family, we need to reconsider what is really important. I am proud of you and the rest of our chapter. It is really nice to know there are still people in this world that care. If I wore a hat, it would be off to you.
I say job well done Chris!!! Keep the information flowing to Roy. You never know when something might just click and snap him out of it. Also I always maintain that we don't know for sure what is going on in someones head. Roy may know what is going on, but can't express himself. Keep up the good work, and keep up the prayers we could still get Roy back. That is my two cents worth, and if you need more to pay for the news letter, postage or cards for Roy just say the word, Blacksheep
Hey guys, I have taken it upon myself to write this letter. I thought I'd better let you all know about it, just in case you do not want me to send it as comming from the chapter. You might say that I have my nerve saying I'd keep sending the news letter. Well maybe I do have nerve, however it would not cost the chapter anything. Larry and I have decided that we would print it out on our own printer and pay the postage unless everyone in the chapter wanted to do it as a chapter. This is Roy Curtz from Aurora, Missouri (BTW and OMT Member) that I'm speaking of. He had a trike accident shortly before trike week and is now in a nursing facility.
If you have any objections to me using our news letter header or the BTW or OMT Logo's or including the chapter in any way, please let me know. Thanks, Chris
Hello I know you do not know or probably do not know who we are. Roy was and is a valuable member of The Ozark Mountain Trikers, a chapter of The Brothers of the Third Wheel. We have all heard about Roy's accident and are deeply sorry. I personally know how hard it is when you have a loved one in a nursing facility especially in his condition. When you go to visit you don't know what to say after a while. I know that Roy has gotten a couple of our news letters since the accident. However his subscription is fast running out. If you read them to him then I would be inclined to continue sending them. However if you do not read them to him then it would be a waste of the costs to print and the postage. I am in hopes that you do read them to him for I feel that it would not only give you someting to talk to him about but also you never know what might get through to him. Below is all the information you need to get a hold of me. Please inform me of what you wish to do. And if you would , and I speak for the whole of the Ozark Mountain Trikers, no matter what you decide to do about the news letter if you could keep us up to date on whats happening in Roys life from time to time , it would be appreciated. Thank You for your time, Chris Freeman OMT News Letter Editor
