We would love to be at yalls parade, but haven't been able to attend OMT meetings in a long time. Know they aren't proable looking forward to listening to us again, but we are going to try and make Saturdays meeting. Hope yall have good weather and a great time. We will see yall next Saturday at Zeno's.
Hey guys & gals, just wanted to let you know what we in CMT will be doing this Saturday while you all are gourging yourselves (I mean, conducting a meeting) down in Gainesville. We will be riding our trikes in a parade and hopefully getting some exposure (no, not exposing ourselves! I mean exposure for CMT, BTW and triking.)
The Univ of MO-Rolla has a long standing tradition of celebrating St Pat's Day big time (usually with a lot of beer and partying), starting off with a parade through town. Chris wrote in the OMT newsletter, which we got today (Great job, Chris, as usual), that in some communities they even die the rivers or streams green. Well, here in Rolla, they paint the main street through downtown green! I don't know how this St. Pat's celebration started at UMR--maybe I'll do some research on it later, don't have time right now--got a parade to prepare for.
So we'll be wearin' o' the green, of course, and will have some kind of green on our trikes. Walt finally got his trike all legal and licensed and this will be the first event he will ride it in. He will have it decorated for the occasion (rumor has it that he will even have a green beard!) and will be sporting our brand new CMT banner, thanks to Lady's expediting our order.
Anyway, I wanted to invite y'all to ride your trikes up here and join us, but then I was reminded in your newsletter that it is the day for your meeting. (You'd have to miss that lunch down in Gainesville!) Anyone who wants to play hooky from your meeting is welcome to come and ride with us--we can go have lunch afterward. You'll have to leave pretty early, though, to get here for line-up, it's at 9:00 a.m.
