Paw - Just for your information and anyone else that might be reading this. This get-together was at Fred's request. He didn't want a funeral service and left funds to be used to throw a "party" after he was gone. So, the food after the ride and everything else will be paid for by Fred. That was just the kind of guy Fred was. He didn't like people making a fuss over him and I am sure he didn't say it was to be a memorial service but a party in his honor. I am really sorry that more of you didn't get the opportunity to meet him. He was quite a guy.
Hey guys you can count on the Missouri State Director, and I coming with you all for the memorial service for Fred, would'nt miss it for anything. We can meet you all at Wal-Mart, and drive (faller) over with you all. It is important to HONOR him being I'm a Viet Nam Vet also, and after all he was our Missouri State Director, at one time and that is a HONOR also! It's just the BTW, thing to do....think about it....we would do the same for you. Hugs with Love!!!! Paw's just Jawin'
I cannot believe that, other than Ron and Tom from Theodosia, we haven't heard from anyone planning to attend the memorial service for long time BTW member Fred Moore from Houston, MO. Tom called to say that he has heard about the service from the Patriot Guard because Fred was a Viet Nam Vet and that he and Ron realized that it was more important to honor a fallen brother than it was to attend a meeting and they would be coming with Lady and I. I realize that the plans for the meeting included discussion of the upcoming OMT Trike Meet but the meeting could, and should, have been moved to another time. There was plenty of time to notify everyone and I, for one, would really have a hard time enjoying discussing a party when I knew there was a memorial service for one of the members taking place at the same time.I admit that the timing of the service was really bad but that was something we had no control over. The meeting we did.I'll get off my soapbox now. I still love you guys.
