I talked to Dick and Fay this afternoon and I guess there was quite a few people feeling that I was trying to make them feel guilty about not attending the memorial for Fred Moore and were upset about it. I can't say that maybe, in the back of my mind, that wasn't my intent but please know that I only wanted for Fred, what I want for any member, to feel that they are important to their BTW family. It was quite apparent at the service that BTW and triking was a big part of Fred's life, from his trikes on display to all the BTW T-shirts and other BTW things that were displayed. I know that Fred would have been the last person in the world to want his passing to cause a rift among BTW members and, for causing that rift, I would like to apologize to all of you and Fred. So, please accept my apolgy for attempting to use my position with BTW and with OMT to force anyone to be where they didn't choose to be. It won't happen again. Knowing Fred the way I did, I am sure that he wouldn't have been there either if he didn't have to be. A memorial service was about the last place in the world I would have expected to see Fred. He would much rather have been out riding.I still love you all and hope you will forgive me but caring about the members, past and present, is all I have ever been guilty of and I hope I never give that up.It has been my mission for many, many years.
After Fred's Memorial Service, I did a lot of soul searching on the way home. Mostly, I hoped I would be as worthy and deserving of such a beautiful celebration of one person's life. My hope is to live my life better, speak kinder, love stronger, care more and let everyone in my life know how important they are to me. I am starting with my OMT family. You are very special to me and I hope to always earn your love and respect. Life is so precious and so short. When we look at the greater scheme of things, most of the things we spend our time on really aren't important at all. I hope to concentrate on what is really important and how I can affect change and be a positive light. Just wanted you all to know. Love and Light, Lady
